Offered here is an original WWII German Luftwaffe Paratrooper Gravity Knife (Fallschirmjäger-Messer), manufactured by Paul Weyersberg & Co., Solingen — one of the premier edged-weapon makers of the era.

This example is a wartime-produced knife showing all the correct features of Luftwaffe gravity knife. The blade bears the “Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen” maker mark and the word “Rostfrei” (stainless). All major parts are stamped “1”, confirming that the knife remains factory-matched and not assembled from mixed components.

The gravity mechanism operates smoothly, (but hard at the end) with tight fittings and a clean release. The blade shows a few light surface marks from use and age, but no sharpening. The spike deploys properly, is well marked and locks as intended.
