Rare WW1 Austro Hungarian Gas Mask “Gummi” w Can 1918 KUK

For sale is a very rare WW1 KUK Austro Hungarian “gummi” Gas mask. This type of mask is made from a rubberized canvas, rather than leather seen in the last year of the war. This set also includes the original and correct KUK canister. The mask itself is fairly stiff, fortunately in the open position so is displayable. Dated 1918 on the mask, with dates matching on the filter as well. All straps are intact, non are broken or torn. Lenses are intact. We were told that this mask was brought back by a Doughboy during WW1, sadly no name was given. In the last months of WW1 nearly 30,000 Austro-Hungarian soldiers would make it to the Western Front to help in holding off Allied forces, but to no avail. This mask was one issued to those forces so we can get a general idea of where is may have been taken. We have not attempted to put the mask back into the canister, and would advise against it so will ship separately.
