WW2 German Tropical DAK Canteen w/ Bakelite Cup

Nice original ww2 German DAK canteen set with canvas straps and bakelite cup. Canteen is marked W.A.L. 41 – same maker/date ink stamped on the canvas strap. Other markings on strap buckle & bakelite cup, see photos. All parts of canteen are in good field used condition, no tears or breaks anywhere. Something written in pen/pencil on the outer front of the strap “41(?) Sch…” that I can’t quite decipher.
