WWII Japanese Type 38 & 99 Rubberized Canvas Ammo Pouch (1)

Early style sewn ammo pouch… it is in great condition with a clear manufacturer mark and date (Showa 16 = 1941) on the underside of the top flap.

as is always the case, the rubberized canvas is stiff and brittle and as such the top strap is very hard to unlatch and relatch.

I have two other pouches for sale but none of them are a match.
