WW2 German Luftwaffe M40 Helmet w/ Chinstrap

For sale is a nice Luftwaffe M40 helmet, size 66 shell, with liner and chin strap. Helmet evidenced to have been whitewashed for winter camouflage, notice remnants of white around the rivets and air vents, in the recesses of the textured paint. The decal is nearly perfect, initials KW scratched into the brim of helmet. This helmet was brought back in 1944/1945 by Raymond C. White, USAAF, born October 25, 1918 in Kitanning, PA. Raymond passed away in Milsboro, DE on Valentines Day 2001. The providence was given to us by his son.
