Nice Colt US 1909 Revolver .45 LC WW1 Pistol

For sale is a very nice US m1909 Revolver in .45 long colt made by Colt. Matching numbers, strong blue, inspector marked grips, tight action, overall just a nice pistol. US property marked on the underside of barrel. This revolver existence is famous for having come from the Philippine insurrection, in that native rebels could not be stopped by .38 calibers, so the old .45 LC was brought back into military service which provided the knock down power required. Colt released the 1909 which solved the problems. This gave way for the .45 acp used in the Colt 1911 pistols in 1911.
