January 1944 INLAND Manufactured M1A1 “Paratrooper” Carbine. This rifle checks out according to the “Comprehensive Guide to the M1 Carbine” by Roger Larson. The stock is the correct later low wood with the parkerized rivets on the leather wire butt stock cheek pad. The barrel is clearly marked INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS 1 – 44. The lands and grooves of the barrel are still strong and bright. The bolt is the early flat type. This rifle is an incredible piece of history and deserves a spot in your Classic Military Firearms Collection! Please NOTE: This requires an FFL for transfer.
