Early hinged ww2 German ammo can with tropical/DAK tan paint. This is a genuine Afrika Korps painted ammo can, this style of can was used by the wehrmacht pre-1942, and the standard tan paint wasn’t adopted until after they went to the removable top model. Can has seen extensive use but ~50%+ paint remains, lid opens/closes no issue.
