For your consideration is a grouping identified to Vice Admiral JUNI UOZUMI. I purchased this grouping from the collection of Tom McLeod who traveled to Japan and purchased this from the Admiral’s estate. Tom proudly displayed this for many years in his personal museum.

UNIFORM, JAPANESE NAVY OFFICER, WWII FINE QUALITY EARLY WWII I.J.N OFFICER’S FULL, DRESS UNIFORM GROUPING IN THE ORIGINAL ISSUE WOODEN SHIPPING BOX WITH HIS NAMEPLATE STILL ATTACHED… IT BELONGED TO IJN COMMANDER JUNJI UOZUMI WHO SERVED ON YAMAMOTO’S STAFF THROUGHOUT WWII. AFTER THE WAR’S END UOZUMI RE-ESTABLISHED THE JAPANESE MARITIME FORCES, HE REMAINED IN THE SERVICE AND WENT UP TO THE GRADE OF VICE ADMIRAL (3-STARS). HAD THE CURRENT CLASS OF JAPANESE LST’S NAMED AFTER HIM (UOZUMI/OHZUMI CLASS LST’S) THIS LOT INCLUDES: STORAGE TRUNK WITH 1930’S NAMEPLATE, COMMANDER’S FULL DRESS FROCK WITH TAILS, WITH BRASS IMPERIAL NAVY BUTTONS, EACH ONE WAS INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED FOR STORAGE! BROCADE COLLAR, GREAT SLEEVE PIPING AND ENGINEER BRANCH COLOR; FORE & AFT HAT IN GOOD CONDITION (came with the grouping but appears to be named to another officer); FINE QUALITY PAIR OF FIELD GRADE OFFICER EPAULETS; TROUSERS ARE EXC+ + WITH GOLD STRIPE, MATCHING VEST WITH ORIGINAL NAVY BUTTONS ALSO EXC+ CONDITION; AN ORIGINAL ENGINEERING OFFICERS DRESS SWORD BELT IN MATCHING PURPLE W/BUCKLE (STILL IN VG SHAPE BUT SHOWS WEAR) SWORD HANGERS MISSING; A LARGE RISING SUN FLAG. Original issue Vice-Admiral Flag made for flying from his Flagship which is in vg condition with the ropes; His Admirals service dress uniform cap, a pair of gorgeous 3-star Admiral shoulder board rank, and three metal Admiral stars.
